Description
The Separol family , packaged as a powder mixture, without hydroquinone and of course without caustic alkalis.
According to the new, very strict EU directives, these developers (except for Separol Soft with the essential substance METOL in this case) are not considered environmentally hazardous. The main developer substance is a derivative of ascorbic acid, so there is no risk to health when preparing the developer solution. Separol developers are suitable for all commercially available photographic papers. With Separol NE, Soft and HE, the image tone can be influenced - within the limits of the paper used - by adding an image tone stabiliser, which is included in the scope of delivery.
Despite the absence of hydroquinone, a high maximum blackening is achieved, whereby the entire tonal range, including deep shadows, is finely differentiated.
Two-bath development or fine tuning by mixing NE, HE or WA with soft is possible. When developing in two baths, develop in NE, HE or WA until the mid tones are in place. The highlights are produced in the second bath (Soft 1+5 to 1+10).
Shelf life of stock solutions:
Separol NE, WA, 1-2 years in highly filled bottles or partially filled bottles with inert gas.

- Powder + 50ml stabiliser solution for 1 litre stock solution, yields 6-10 litres working solution
Separol HE
The flexible member of the family - warmer than WA or colder than NE
- Image tone controllable from brown to blue-black
- Powder + 2 solutions for image tone and tonal value control for 1 litre stock solution, results in 6-10 litres working solution
